This Swedish textile designer’s first printed fabrics for Marimekko appeared in the spring 2001 collection and her expressive, graphic prints have been included in Marimekko’s collections since. Danielsson’s style is very current while remaining timeless.
Lesley, founder and CEO of Bemz, is joined by the designer herself on a Falsterbo chaise longue covered in Spinning, the designer's creation for Marimekko, brought to you by Bemz.
So, how does she do it? Anna Danielsson continually gathers all kinds of objects from which she takes inspiration and that may prove to be "useful" in her work. Literature is also a great source of inspiration for her: she loves books and collects them on subjects ranging from design, art and architecture right through to African masks, tattoos from different cultures and plants.
The Bemz Marimekko collection will be available for over 70 IKEA sofa and chair models from May 27 at www.bemz.com, which means you can easily add the best of Finnish style to your living room, bedroom and office. Together at last...
