Today we launched an additional seven fabrics from the world-famous Finnish textile company Marimekko. Included in this latest collection are some design classics as well as updated colors. And they all scream spring and summer.
Design classic Pirput Parput, by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi, is a new pattern in the Bemz Marimekko collection. It is somewhat reminiscent of bubbling raspberries and comes in three colorways: Pink/Red (pictured right), Putty/White (not pictured) and White/Black (pictured left).
In May 2009, Bemz launched global classics Kivet and Praliini, both designed by Maija Isola. For summer 2010, Maija’s daughter Kristina Isola has updated these classics with new cooler colors.
Kivet - Turquoise/Lime (pictured on the Klippan sofa above), and Praliini in Lime (pictured left) and Aqua (pictured right) have joined their monochromatic counterparts in the Bemz Marimekko collection.
Bemz is also increasing the color variations of what is perhaps the most well-known pattern of all, the Unikko flower. Also designed by Maija Isola, this famous bloom will now see Unikko – Blue added to the Bemz Marimekko collection.
NB If you like what you see, now's the time to order swatches. There's a promotion on that allows you to order double the usual number of free swatches - that's 10 instead of the usual 5. For a limited time though - until April 11 only. Happy shopping!
