A very famous Swedish TV presenter asked our in-house designer Katarina Wiklund, if she could give the studio a make-over using Bemz products. The brief: a touch of Asia. Katarina was, of course, up for the challenge and here is what she did.
Above is what the studio looked like back in October.
Katarina switched the True Rose- Caffe Latte cover on the Karlanda sofa for one in Soft White Belgian Linen blend and added a mix of cushions including Daiquiri Green, Mandarin Orange and New Baroque- Pale Turquoise. Just out of view next to the sofa are two Ängby armchairs in Marimekko's beautiful Fandango- Red. Unfortunately, the camera died before Katarina managed to photograph them.
I love this cupboard. It's shabby chic look has been given an exotic edge thanks to a few well chosen items including the red tassel dangling from the key and the Buddha head.
What can we learn from this? By playing with the right color palette Katarina was able to introduce an Asian influence to the room. Obviously choosing the right accessories, predominantly ornate, gold and red, she achieved the Asian feel.
Get this look, with 10% off all white fabrics right now at Bemz -until March 7.
