Here, at Bemz, we believe that all our covers should be machine washable. This belief has resulted in lengthy product development and research - it's not easy to find textiles which support our requirement of machine washability. However, it seems to us that if you can't wash your cover yourself, what is the point of having a cover?
Even though most of our fabrics are pretreated with stain-protector, there are some nasty spills that still manage to look pretty ominous. Here are some tips for tackling those tough-looking stains immediately, using ingredients you'll generally find in your cupboard:
Coffee: Rinse with sparkling water and launder immediately.
Wine: Immediately pour salt on article to absorb color then immerse in cold water containing biological detergent to soak. Wash as normal.
Blood: On 100% cotton textiles, treat with cold water containing a few drops of ammonia, plain cold water without ammonia for textiles containing linen. Machine wash immediately.
Lipstick: Rub white bread over the area in a firm gentle motion.
Candle wax: Scrape off excess gently with a knife. Then place blotting paper on and under the spot and iron. If the wax is colored, rub with a cotton ball dipped in ether.
