It appears both the UK's Royal Mail and the US Postal Service have gone designer on us.
We LOVE this new sets of stamps just launched by The Royal Mail. The set focuses on the most iconic and enduring examples of British design. Though they may be recognized globally, they remain synonymous with Britain: the map of the London Underground, the red phone box, the double decker bus and perhaps the one held closest to British hearts: the Mini. Along with these streamline beauties, the they've included George Carwardine's much sought after Anglepoise lamp and the Robin Day Polypropylene Chair.
The US Postal Service will launch this pane of 16 stamps dedicated to the fantastic and enduring Eames designs - your only chance to pick up an Eames for only 41 cents! The designs featured include the Wire-Base Table, the Hang-it-All, the Lounge Chair and Ottoman, the House of Cards, the Molded Plywood Lounge Chair, the Aluminum Side Chair, the Molded Plastic Side Chair, the Storage Unit, the Wire Chair, and the La Chaise.
